From Bandung to Jakarta, and Its Skin Journeys..

On my previous blogpost, I was talking about me who moved, first from my home to kost, then from one kost to another for three times, and how about the condition of each place..

It's none of anyone business tho LOL but I just wanted to share about the hardness of moving..
It's really hard for me, physically. It didn't only impact my body but also my skin.
YES, MY SKIN CONDITION!!

When I was in Bandung, I'm pretty sure I didn't have an oily skin.
Since I moved to Jakarta, my skin started to produce more oil and became more acne prone.
So, the weather really impacts my skin condition. Bandung has a very nice weather. It doesn't have a hot weather like Jakarta. This weather problem caused double troubles.
I couldn't live without an Air Conditioner here.
So, first trouble is my skin now produces more oil.
The second one is the air conditioner dries my skin.
Results?? Skin troubles.

I often got unusual pimples and acnes. Even after a few months, my skin seemed never got used to Jakarta weather.
That's what I thought at first. It's all about the weather.
But then I realized it wasn't only caused by the weather but also caused by the water.
So, I think the water on my first 3 kosts = hard water.
When I went to gym everyday and took showers there, my skin always got better.
Oh and I had to tell ya the acnes weren't only showed up on my face but also on my back, so that's why I was really sure my acnes weren't caused by any skin care products I've tried.

It made me stressed to see my face became like that. I got depressed when I had to deal with the scars and dark spots it has caused.

I tried to do as many as possible things I could do to stop the breakouts and acnes, but it kept getting worse..
I bought acne ointments, new skin care products for trouble skin, and many more, until I realized the trouble maker was just the water!!

Duhh..

From Bandung to Jakarta, and Its Journeys..

It's been over a year since I moved to Jakarta. A lot of things have happened.

So, let me tell you one by one..

First thing is about housing.. (or, ... "Kost-ing" ??)

In these past 15 months, I have moved 3 times so it's been 4 kost until now. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd kost were in Kemang, the 4th kost now is in Pejaten.

First time I moved was because the first Kost house didn't have a toilet on the same floor with my bedroom. Can you imagine, I wokeup in the midnight wanted to use toilet, and I had to go downstairs to reach the toilet, the struggle was soooo REAL man! After a month, I decided to move to another house and fortunately it's very near to my office.

The second kost house was nice enough. It's clean and still fresh because it's still new. But the room size was so small, I got many bruises on my body because it's so small that if I moved my body even just a little, it could hurt.. The bed was so uncomfortble, I couldnt sleep well because of that.
After about 1-2 months, one of my office friends moved there, it was so nice to have a friend in the same house because I didn't feel lonely anymore. Troubles happened because we had one roommate with cadar upstair, who always left dirty plates in the sink, etc.. it was so annoying.

After a few months, I moved again to another kost house. The third place was comfortoble. The size of the room is enough to store all my things and to move my body comfortably lol.
Everything was nice until 1 accident happened, a rat came to my bathroom and when I asked for the housekeeper help, she (and her husband) didn't show nice attitude. I couldnt use my own bathroom for 4 days (thank God I could use gym bathroom).

So, when FemaleDaily's Queenbees  told us the office would move soon from Kemang to Pejaten, I didnt think twice to move to another Kost too, even if my life was still abstract and uncertain (because my contract would end in a month, and I havent known whether they would hire me to be a permanent employee or not).

Looking for a nice place (and also not too far from office & match with my budget) wasn't that easy.
Before I found this 4th kost, I'd been searching & surveying for more than a month, visiting many houses under the heat of Jakarta Sun plus the pollution etc. But yeah, I finally got one that's comfortable and everything is nice. Until the second I write this post, I still feel comfortable. Haha.
Not to mention, the house has a cute color....PURPLE!!!
(Honestly it's over my budget, so I had to cut my another expense, that's why I stopped going to Gym.....yeah so sad I know).

I have to admit, live far away from home is hard. Everytime I had to move, I did it all by myself, so exhausting. And then need to do everything by myself everyday, need to have a very good time management, need to always keep my bed & bathroom clean, sometimes need to cook, etc..
Life was so much easier when you still lived with your parents haha.
But hey, people need to grow. I think I have to grow.
*and I still have a dream to live abroad, so I take this as a training..hehe*
Sometimes I feel tired and just wanna go back to Bandung but then I keep reminding and telling myself I moved here not for nothing, I have my own reasons and goals, so I have to survive and keep on fighting..

I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who also fight for their dreams in Jakarta, just like me, so I'm not alone.. :D

Second thing is about....... Hmmm well, let me share my thought on this in another post ok, seee yoouuu ^^

Make Up Artist Soon to be.. ^^

Wow..
It's been a very long time since the last time I posted here..

First..
I've been busy with my Online shop http://facebook.com/niqita.shop and instagram.com/niqitabeauty
Second..
I had been  busy with my diploma.. then I had to do an internship out of my hometown Bandung, moved to Jakarta..
etc.. etc..

I kinda have no time for blogging..
I sometimes update my path and upload some pics to Instagram tho.. lol

So here I am again..

Why I decided to start blogging again?

Well, I think I'm gonna have a lot of things to share, as now I've just already started my makeup course,,
YES! My mskeup course!! Yeayyy!!

I'm soooo excited because it's something I really wanted to do since years a go when I still lived in Bandung..

Now I'm still doing my internship with KPI and part time schedule until December..
And now I'm in Jakarta that has many makeup school to choose for..
So it's time, it's time.. It's the right time for me to upgrade my skill..

About two years ago, I took a one day self makeup course at Puspita Martha Bandung..
To be honest, I didn't get much from that..
I felt like, it was useless.. Not that Puspita Martha was bad..
But it was too simple and very basic..
I need more..
I want to learn more than just a simple self makeup,,
I wanna be a makeup artist..

Because I love makeup..
I love art..
I love shopping for makeup!! LOL
I collect many many makeup products dan tools but I only have one face lol, and I dont wear makeup everyday..
I want to have more skill..
And I need more job for living in this lovely capital city Jakarta.. haha.. It's hard I tell ya ;p
But most importantly it's my passion..
That's why I chose to take a PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST AND HAIR DO COURSE..

I had been eye-ing and browsing for  makeup school in Jakarta, I read reviews in femaledaily forum since years ago and bookmarked them on my phone, then when  I got a chance to join, I contacted all makeup schools I had interested in..

After I got enough information from each school, I decided to go to Graha Mustika Ratu near Pancoran Jakarta to join makeup class at Lembaga Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Mooryati Soedibyo (LPPMS).

  • I chose it based on many considerations,
  • I think the curriculum is great and complete..
  • It's not too far from my Kost..
  • The tuition fee is reasonable, I still can afford it with my own money..hehe..
  • And it has a fixed schedule, which I prefer because for some people it could be a con that they couldn't come to class as they like but for me it's better to have a fix schedule, it's kinda minimize my duty to manage my busy schedule LOL
  • They provide models, it's important for me because I'm not sure I can find a different model for each day I practice, and the models fee is reasonable too..

I started my first day of my PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST AND HAIR DO COURSE yesterday..

The place is nice, just the AC is not that cold.. But I think it's not their fault haha because I think my office is HOT too, well after all I'm a Bandung girl, I used to lived in a cold weather city..
Every place in Jakarta seems hot for me, no matter what.. I'm still not used to it I guess.. :p

Anyway, back to LPPMS..
Every class opened has 3-6 students..
They provide us a handout about makeup theory, but it's only for the 1st day..
for the 2nd day until the end of the program, we'll practice makeup on models' face..

At the end of the program, there will be an examination and final test, including photo session for each student's portfolio..
Portfolio is very important for students' career to get clients in the future..
And if we passed the test, we would get a certificate too... ^^

I'm so excited and can't hardly wait for the 2nd day next week..

AAAAAAA AAAAAA!!!

But before that, I have to go shopping.. A makeup shopping hehe

I don't need to buy many things because I already have many makeup in my train case..
No need to buy brushes coz I already have many..
Hmm.. just need to add more shades to my foundation and powder collection..
And a little more things.. haha
Honestly, there's no need to buy train case ctoo oz i already have, but I want one with the trolley and LED lamps!! haha.. let's see how long it will take until I can afford it.. I hope it wont be too long *pray*

I've got a lot of friends from various departments and 'angkatan' (what's this in english, btw? lol).
They're nice & smart. So many great people I've met there.

Some of them are my best friends..
We named us JC.....for J_ _ _ _ _ C _ _ _ _ _.
It's not really a secret name, siih.. but I won't tell ya anyway.. :p
Ovri, Shita, Ditta, Puri, Dila, Asti, Bebelle, Santi, Irra, Fifi, Arrum, Rere..
They're my closest friends.. My BFF.. and also my sisters..
They're all fabulous in their own way..
I'm proud of them, proud to be one of their friends.
But for me, our relationship is not a friendship.. I called it Sisterhood..

I miss them.. I miss our moments together..
I know, we're now very busy with our own personal life.. But we still keep in touch..

Friends come and go...
Even bestfriends can become totally strangers.
But.. Because what we've got is not a friendship, we will never be apart! (^o^)
What we've got is a sisterhood.. So,it will last forever..
Miss youuuu JC!!!
